Ordering Copies of Probate Court Documents

To obtain a copy of a Probate Court document you can contact the Probate Courts Department by phone at 713-755-5156 or by mail at:

You may also visit the department at the Harris County Civil Courthouse, 201 Caroline, Room 800. If paying with a major credit card you can place your order by phone. There is a 4% surcharge added on when paying with a credit card over the phone. Cashier’s checks and money orders are acceptable forms of payment through the mail. The cost of non-certified copies is $1.00 per page. If you want your copies certified it will cost an additional $5.00 per document. To determine the number of pages in the document contact the department. The office hours are 8:00 to 4:30, Monday thru Friday.
